DO THE BANDS GET PAID?
A lot of festivals ask the bands to pay for free, we do things a bit differently. We feel this is a logical and risk-free way of assisting bands and creating a great show.
Signed/Self-financed Bands - Fee Basis:
Booking agents or bands can send in fee/rider requirements and we negotiate until we have a fee that suits our budget and the band. An unrealistic fee with no guarantee will be dismissed. We look for bands that we feel are in the press and heavily advertised and promoted in media as we know the work has been put in to bring in an audience. Food, tech rider, and agreement need to be sent via e-mail to: bookings_ragebreed@hotmail.co.uk. The venue has a backstage area and we will be putting out the catering with drinks back there. Tech rider will be sent to the sound engineer. There is a full backline provided.
Unsigned Bands/Underground Signed - Ticket Policy:
Unsigned - We will give you a select amount of tickets to sell to your friends/family/fans (usually 3 to 4 people) and you can keep that profit. This is because you may need that push in the promotion field and if you are not as well known UK wise, by doing it this way, we can then guarantee people will come to see you, and your fee is covered so we can concentrate on outgoings and signed band fees, venue fees, advertising and promotion costs. It's risk management as we need to make sure we cover costs as we are a performance-based business.
(We do not do pay to play or play for free)
Good luck!
